Description

This is a 60-second exposure with my Canon Digital Rebel at prime focus to an 80mm f/7 ED Triplet APO Objective lens. It was taken the same night as the one titled M42 With Small Scope, but this image shows a faint streak near the right edge. For a 60-second time span this moving object travelled across a very small part of the sky. A satellite or plane would have spanned a much longer path in the same time. Also, with the 1600 iso exposure, a plane would have made a much brighter streak. It appears to be much too regular in path and intensity to be a meteor. What could it be?
