Description
The Northern Harrier is the most common raptor that I photograph in the marshes along Puget Sound. This is a juvenile, identified by its orange body color. I was lucky to not to crop its wing tips with the edge of the frame as it just filled it. Shooting data; hand held, Nikon D2H, Sigma EX 300mm f2.8 APO w/ 2x teleconverter for 600mm focal length, 1/1500 sec, f5.6, ISO 200, exposure comp -.33 EV.
