Description
While diving in the Galapagos Islands one of our group mentioned that he had seen a very unusual fish that looked like a rock in shallow water on the wall that we had just dived. After getting him to describe better what he had seen, the underwater photographers in the group were pinching ourselves in anticipation that a frogfish had been seen. Jumping back in, armed with many cameras we found this little beauty...ugly? Anyway, by the time I finished the dive and four rolls of film later I had found a total of seven different frogfish, begging the question rare fish or just hard to find? We nicknamed the dive site: Frogfish Condo since they were snuggled into small pockets in the wall while blending in with encrusting sponges.
