Image was taken at Sherzer Observatory on Eastern Michigan University’s campus. The image was taken at prime focus of an Astrophysics 4” apo refractor. Camera used was a canon rebel XT with a 6 seconds exposure at iso 200. I had about a dozen students show up at 5am to witness this event! Many were red eyed but showed great interest and had quite a few “WOW’S” at the eyepiece.
