Description
Standing on River Road in Burlington, NJ, I was looking through my scope at the osprey nest on Burlington Island in the middle of the Delaware River. Only this year, a red-tailed hawk had made itself at home and hatched several eggs. All but one had fledged by June 18th, and I had the priviledge of watching the last one hop and flap from one side of the nest to the other, never actually taking the leap. Maybe tomorrow... Taken with a Nikon 82mm Fieldscope, 30mm wide-angle eyepiece and just holding my HP Photosmart digital camera up to the eyepiece (I wasnt planning on stopping and didnt have all the right equipment)...
