This Kingfisher lives in a swampy area in Virginia where I’ve done a good deal of imaging. The bird is shy and obtaining a decent image has not been easy as this Kingfisher would fly away the moment I was spotted. This series of exposures was taken when the bird was on the other side of the swamp from where the tripod was set up. 700mm at f/5.6; ISO 800 in Aperture Priority, camera on tripod.
