Description
If you get a chance get out and look at this large sun spot. It just came into view so we should be able to watch it for a week or so. New sunspot 940 is surrounded by a dark swirl of magnetic filaments. A second sun spot is just starting to appear. Looks like a fun week to watch the sun. This image was taken on 1-28-07 from Houston with the Takahashi FS-128 with the Coronado Solar Max-90 HA filter and the Lumenera camera.
