These images were taken on the morning of 20 March, as the ISS and Endeavour passed over Evergreen CO, at about 6:05am MDT. The images were taken with a MallinCam Hyper Color Plus video camera, at a shutter speed of 1/1500 sec. The telescope was a Celestron NexStar 11GPS. The frame grabs are roughly at 10 second intervals. The chronological sequence of images is from right to left. The arcing path reflects the viewers perspective of the path of the ISS as it crossed overhead. The inset image is a composite of two NASA photos, one of the ISS and one of the shuttle, to roughly simulate the viewing angle on approach, and also the shuttles docking configuration. The shuttles wings are quite prominent in the approaching images from the NW, where they are fully illuminated by the rising sun. It passed nearly directly overhead at its highest point. It became backlit as it receded toward the SE, which is why it appears much dimmer in those images.
