Description
NGC 7293, the Helix Nebula in Aquarius. This is a large planetary nebula that is relatively close to us at a distance of about 650 light years. Imaged from Joshua Tree National Park on July 5, 2008 with a Takahashi FSQ-106N and ST2000xm camera (Astrodon Filters) riding on an EM-200 mount. LRGB of 70-40-40-40 minutes respectively. The RGB was binned 2x2. Self-guided with the cameras guide chip with 5 second guide exposures.
