Description
The Crescent Nebula exhibits strong signal in H-a and OIII wavelengths ... this image attempts to combine the narrow band with the standard LRGB. If the processing was written out it might look like: L(H-a+OIII)R(H-a)G(OIII)B(OIII). It was taken with a 14.5 f/8 RCOSCC and an Apogee 16803 camera + Astrodon Series II filters. The telescope is located in the foothills of the Sierra ... specifically Foresthill, California. Processing was accomplished using MaxIm 3.0, Ray Gralaks Sigma Combine, and PS CS2.
