Description
This is M16, the Eagle nebula, in Hydrogen alpha light - 8.2 hours total exposure (10min and 30min subs) taken at Sierra Skies Observatory during recent bright-moon nights. 12" LX200R with Optec TCF-S focuser and Pyxis rotator on Paramount ME in Sirius 2.3m automated dome. SBIG camera - STL-11000M C1 with Custom Scientific 5nm Ha filter. Acquisition using CCDAutoPilot, MaximDL, TheSky, and FocusMax. Processing with CCDStack and Photoshop.
