Description
This is probably in the top 10 list of favorite objects for amateur astronomers. The “Rosette†nebula, a.k.a. NGC2237 is about 5000 light years distant in the constellation Monoceros. This large gathering of dust and gas is another one of many star nurseries within the Milky Way. At the center lie several very young stars who are “only†a few million years old.
