Narrowband image of NGC2175 - the Monkey Head nebula - in Hubble Pallette (SHO). Total exposure was 8 hours, with 3 hours of Ha, 3 hours of SII, and 2 hours of OIII (all at a binning of 1x1, with 30-minute subs; took much more data, but found that high clouds/haze resulted in having to throw out more than 50% of subs). Taken through a 12" LX200R (ACF) scope on a Paramount ME, using a Bellerophon RoboFocus-controlled focuser, Pyxis 3" camera rotator, Astrodon MOAG and SBIG remote guide head, FW8-STL filter wheel with Astrodon 3nm narrowband filters, and SBIG Class I STL-11000M camera, all housed in a custom-built observatory with 8' Sirius dome. Images taken late Jan and early Feb in nearly full moon from Sierra Skies Observatory in El Dorado Hills, California.
