NGC3532, aka “Firefly” cluster is another southern object in the constellation Carina and is 1,300 light-years distant. The cluster contains a variety of red giants and hot blue stars. This cluster was first recorded by Nicolas Louis de Lacaille in 1755 and was also the very first object to be imaged by the Hubble Space Telescope.
