This is one of those objects that you never get tired of imaging. This bright nebula is one of the few objects where its detail can still be seen under light polluted skies using a modest telescope or a good pair of binoculars. The Orion nebula, aka M42 is a reflection/emission nebula located in the constellation Orion at a distance of 1350 light-years. The nebula spans a distance of ~ 24 light-years.
