Description
This image shows a variety of star clusters at various stages of their life. The creation of the star clusters has hollowed out the molecular cloud from which they were formed leaving a cavernous array of dark nebula and brightly illuminated clouds of dust and gas. NGC2467 is located in the southern constellation of Puppis and is 17,000 light-years distant.
