Description

Galaxy NGC4945 is a nearby cousin to the Milky Way at a distance of only 12 million light-years. This spiral galaxy lies in the southern constellation Centaurus. Super massive black holes at its core are thought to be the cause of the tumultuous appearance as they suck in gas and dust which in turn creates enormous amounts of heat and high-energy radiation. http://owlmountainobservatory.com/
