Description
After looking at this dusty image I had to remind myself that these specs of dust are actually stars. This is just one small part of the Milky Way galaxy and the Milky Way is only one of billions of galaxies in the Universe. If the number of stars doesn’t impress you then consider that the M28 globular cluster at the center of the image is ~12 billion years old and 18,000 light-years distant from Earth.
