Description

This open cluster of stars is also known as the Owl Cluster. This young star cluster is 21 million years young and lies in the constellation Cassiopeia at a distance of 7,900 light-years. It was discovered by William Herschel in 1787 who described the cluster as 50 stars, bright, rich and scattered.
