These 4 young stars in the Orion Nebula beautifully illuminate the surrounding nebula. The exposure time was carefully chosen to not burn out the trapezium stars, yet show the detail of the nebulosity immediately surrounding them. Stack of 3 5-second subframes recorded with a NET-USA 3iCube NIR sensitive b/w camera. 600 line/mm film grating used in place of the sensor cover plate window to obtain the spectra of the brightest stars. Scope is Vixen 4-inch f9 fluorite refractor. Mount is Losmandy GM-8 free-tracking mode.
