This male black-and-white warbler was hopping from branch to branch foraging for food. I snapped several photos from a ways down the path on my post-lunch walk inthe hopes of catching him still enough to be discernible. I was very surprised to find that I caught him mid-flight ascending to a higher part of the tree. He's just leapt away from the trunk and is simultaneously twisting back towards the trunk and climbing in altitude as though an effortless maneuver.
