I decided I was going to grow my own live fish food so I decided on brine shrimp, aka. “Sea Monkeys”. I also did a little reading about these amazing creatures and here’s what I learned: Brine Shrimp eggs can survive for years. They hatch into 0.4 mm larvae in 24 hours and can survive two hours in boiling water and can live in brine that is up to 25% salt and have a life span of one year. This video includes the larvae at both 24 and 48 hours after I placed a pinch of eggs in brine. They have doubled in size in the last 24 hours. They should be ready to feed to my fish in about a week and should be about 10 to 12 mm in length. Yummy!!!
