Description
The spiral galaxy NGC7331 dominates the Deer Lick Galaxy Group. Normally the entire galaxy rotates in the same direction. NGC7331 is however the exception since its core rotates in the opposite direction relative to the outer disk. Currently there is no explanation for this behavior. NGC7331 is 50 million light-years distant in the constellation Pegasus (The winged horse of Greek mythology). http://owlmountainobservatory.com
