Description
M34 is an open cluster containing ~19 white dwarf stars and is in the constellation Perseus at a distance of 1,500 light-years. It contains ~400 members and spans a radius of 7 light-years. Messier added this open cluster to his catalog in 1764. http://owlmountainobservatory.com
