Description

Here is my latest image of comet Catalina taken from the Negev desert Israel on Friday Feb,12-2016. The location of the comet in this time is near the north pole, usually no one is imaging this part of the sky since there is hardly any interesting object in that region. There for the tiny background galaxies that can be seen in the photo are hard to find in amature Astrophotographer images. This image is a first light of my 10" f/3.9 CF imaging Newtonian on Losmandy G11 G2 mount and Canon 6D modified DSLR, guided with WO-GT81 f/5.9 Apo refractor and SX Lodestar guide camera. It was quite hard to control guiding since It`s close to the north. This is a combination of 25 frames, each frame is 300sec, ISO-1600. Stacking images- DSS v3.3.4 Final process- PS-CS6
