Description
This image contains galaxies NGC 4725 (lower left) and NGC 4747 (upper right). Both galaxies are between 40 to 50 million light-years distant. Tidal interaction between the two galaxies has causee NGC 4747 to exhibit several tidal tails. NGC 4725 is also peculiar since, unlike other spiral galaxies, it has only has one arm.
