A recent journey into the core of the Orion nebula and Trapezium cluster, via a 14.5” f4.3 Zambuto mirror Hybrid Starmaster dobsonian with Revolution R2 camera. SharpCap used to livestack 222 frames, then processed in Digital Photo Professional. Interesting comparison between R2 vs my earlier Canon T3i image. The R2 reveals more of the color variation across the nebula, from the blue-green excited oxygen to red hydrogen alpha. Saturation in this posted image was actually reduced form what originally came from the camera. Imaged in between storm fronts from a major Midwest light polluted city suburb. Gusty breezes caused SharpCap to exclude more than half the livestack frames.
