Description
Messier 51 and NGC5195 imaged again, this time not during full moon, but still at home with a Bortle 7 light polluted sky. Starmaster dobsonian scope with 14.5" Zambuto mirror and ZWO ASI294MC-pro camera at prime focus. The galaxy image is 4 minutes total exposure time using SharpCap live stacking. Minor adjustments in Digital Photo professional. I was surprised to see the dust lane detail in the core of each galaxy, so I zoomed in and pasted those sections onto the main image. There is a depth of field effect where multiple layers of dust lanes stack down into the luminous heart of each galaxy core.
