This image is a non-shadowed view of the lunar surface near Apollo 15 landing site near Hadley Rille, obtained during the waning gibbous phase at about 2am local time. This illumination avoids the shadows of the Appenine mountains that occurs during pre-midnight viewing of a waxing gibbous phase. Starmaster hybrid truss dobsonian reflector with 14.5" f4.3 Zambuto mirror, Skycommander go-to and tracking, Siebert Black Knight 45mm binoviewer with Siebert 36mm observatory class eyepiece on one side, ZWO ASI 294 MC-Pro camera on the other, at 10-deg C, each using a Baader MPC (Thanks Steve H. for the recent transaction). SER 16-bit RAW video for 60 seconds, region of interest at 1900x1200 for faster frame rates to Dell D630 computer. Video processed via Autostakkert for best frames stacking, followed by Registax 6 (100% layers 1 and 2, minimal sharpen/denoise to avoid over-doing the illumination of the Appenine peaks too much), then minor touch up in Digital Photo Professional.
