Description

I’ve been imaging Mars on a regular basis since July 2020. I ended up capturing dozens of images so I thought it would be interesting to put together a few composite image presentations. This second image presentation begins in July and continues thru opposition in October. The individual images were selected to represent a minimum of one complete rotation of Mars. The designation “CM” followed by a number in degrees stands for “Central Meridian” and is the same as “Degrees Longitude” on earth. South is up per the preferred orientation of the Association of Lunar and Planetary Observers, (A.L.P.O.). All Images: Telescope: Celestron 14” SCT Camera: ZWO ASI290MM Filter: Baader 610nm
