Object: The Cygnus Loop Exposures: 5 hours 60x300sec (24 Ha and 36 Oii) Bortle scale: 5 Optic: AT72EDII F6 with .7 reducer/flattener Camera: ASI294MM Pro gain 121 temp -14.8°C Mount: iOptron CEM26 guided w/asi120mc Filter: ZWO 7nm Ha & Sii and Astrodon 3nm Oiii Softwares: PixInsight & PS Note: imaged 7/9/21 & 7/15/21. The Cygnus Loop appears as a faint ring of glowing gases about three degrees across (six times the diameter of the full moon), located in the northern constellation Cygnus the Swan. The supernova remnant is within the plane of our Milky Way Galaxy and is 2,600 light-years away. Information from Nasa dot Gov.
