Description
Something very violent is going on in the galaxy M82. In this image taken with a Planewave CDK 17 and an SBIG STLX 16200 CCD camera we can see the outburst in the hydrogen alpha wavelength ( the red streamers ). Taken over three nights from my house in Foresthill, CA, January 2022 during a winter break in the weather. Images taken were LRGB + H-alpha ... luminance binned 1 X 1 ... everything else was binned 2 X 2 for added sensitivity.
