The dominant member of the Virgo cluster of galaxies, m87 is accessible even in my Bortle 7 sky. With a ZWO ASI294MC pro camera the relativistic jet is visible by virtue of its wide spectral response. This is 5 minutes total exposure in SharpCap at about 2-sec per frame. Scope is my 14.5” Zambuto primary to Antares 1/20-wave secondary in a Starmaster hybrid truss Dobsonian. Livestack in SharpCap enables this Alt-Az scope to capture images like this over several minutes duration.
