Description
NASA might have the James Webb ... I have the CDK 17. I have been working on a new M27 ... very difficult object to do well because the H-a and the OIII wipe each other out. Then there is the blinding intensity of the core in relationship to the extremely faint outer areas. It sits in an extremely star rich environment so that has to be addressed, too ... This is a total of 15 hours of exposures, RGB + Ha + OIII ... all binned 1 X 1. Narrow band subs were 30 minutes, RGB were 10 minutes. Taken from my home in Foresthill, CA, with a PlaneWave CDK 17 and an SBIG STLX 16200 CCD camera loaded with Chroma filters. Softwares used were MaxIm DL, CCDStack, Registar, Starnetv2G, and PS CS6.
