I guess I am getting in a habit of updating some of the perennial favorites each year. This is my latest M42. The new filters I am using, (Astronomics C) made in German,y have a built in filter for the light pollution wave length and so even though this was shot with some moonlight, they really did great. I also used at 2" Clear filter on the nose piece instead of the usual CLS filter. This was shot with my replacement QHY 16200 that they sent me when the line became to long for the repair in China of my first unit. This shows a lot more of the brown dust, etc than what you normally see in images of M42. Enjoy. Aubrey
