Description
I thought I would try using my astro-modified, Full Frame mirrorless Canon EOS RP to capture some galaxies because I was curious about how it would turn out. So this was kind of an experiment for me. Bortle 4 skies with good seeing. The telescope I used is a Sharpstar SCA260 F/5 Super Cassegrain Astrograph. I’m honestly very pleased with the results. I normally just use this camera for nebulae but it will also work quite well on galaxies! This was just 46 x 62s exposures stacked in Sequator with no darks or flats and minimal processing in Lightroom. Considering all that, I think it turned out pretty good! Clear skies!
