Congradulations on your prize winning review! <img class='' src='http://new.astromart.com/astromart/javascripts/sceditor/emoticons/grin.png' alt='grin' title='grin'/> I was once using a cheap diagonal on a really nice telescope. I purchased a dielectric diagonal and it really made a difference.<br><br>David E
This is a really nice review, and certainly unique! <img class='' src='http://new.astromart.com/astromart/javascripts/sceditor/emoticons/wink.png' alt='wink' title='wink'/> I have an interest in spotting scopes and started a collection a while back, so your review was particularly interesting to me.<br>David E
I am no expert but I have always harbored doubts that the human eye can really discern such a small difference or for that matter, even somewhat larger differences in reflectivity. Can the eye really discern 92% vs. 98% reflectivity? If you are standing in front of two mirrors, one of which is 92% and the other 98%, will you look better or worse in the 98% mirror? I don't know. The human mind on the other hand is a different story. I am seeing my ophthalmologist next week for an exam and I think I will put the question to him and see if he has any information that would help solve this. Perhaps some other Astromart member has some information on this subject.
I enjoyed the review. I have had the William Optics, Televue and Astro Physics 2" dielectric diagonals. If you like the William Optics, you will love the TV and AP diagonals. Just a few bucks more!
