All Quiet at the Galactic Core
The Integral Gamma Ray Observatory recently observed the center of our galaxy at a fortuitous moment while the high-energy sources surrounding the black hole all faded to low emmission levels simultaneously. This rare event allowed astronomers to observe the even fainter objects at the galactic center that are normally overwhelmed by the much brighter objects.
Comments:
If the chance of any one of the sources being quiet at any randomly chosen time is 0.5, then the chance of all 10 being quiet at a randomly chosen time is 0.000976563. With continuous observation, this should be seen every now and then without assuming that the people chasing the Heechees are at work.<br>
