Big Review... Big Scope... Big Winner...

This week's review contest winner weighs in heavily on a 28 inch F/4.

Dave,
A very well done review! I enjoyed reading it since I recently had the pleasure of looking though Steve Kennedy's 28" F3.6 dob along with Floyd Blue at Mt Pinos on the evening of 6-23. I viewed at the ring nebula at 700x with the central star shinning like a tiny diamond. The planetary nebula NGC 7008 was beautiful to view. No paracorr was used and although high and moderate power eyepieces were used, coma was not objectionable but it may be more evident in a wider lower focal length eyepiece but that would be a quibble considering the fine performance of the optics. Steve Kennedy did have problems with the electronics on the scope as it would suddenly take-off while viewing an object. It was about 2:45am when we viewed various objects and the electronics problems arose but the scope has apparently functioned well up until that point.
I hope I can view through one of Steve's scopes in the future as they're a delight to view through. I've seen another amateur's 22" scope with Kennedy optics and the star tests are excellent.
