Phoenix Mars Lander Confirms Frozen Water... (Or So That's What the White Stuff is)

Scientists confirm the presence of water ice near the surface near NASA's Phoenix Mars Lander and anticipate even bigger discoveries from the robotic mission in the weeks ahead. Is it possible that the Martian ice caps that we have been observing all these years from our backyards is really ice? Apparently so.

Even when the Viking Missions landed I wondered why they didn't hit the polar regions. We could have known this 30 years ago. I think this news is great, and certainly better late than never. Hopefully, future missions, wherever they go will retain this boldness.

water ice??? All the latest news from scientists still have not concluded
that there is water. Even the internal soil analysis still have not confirmed
the existence of H2O. This is just a bunch of media hype.
