Seeing Red - A Third Red Spot Appears on Jupiter

In what's beginning to look like a case of planetary measles, a third red spot has appeared alongside its cousins — the Great Red Spot and Red Spot Jr. — in the turbulent Jovian atmosphere. This third red spot, which is a fraction of the size of the two other features, lies to the west of the Great Red Spot in the same latitude band of clouds. The visible-light images were taken with Hubble's Wide Field and Planetary Camera 2.

Observable climate change on Jupiter? C'mon, how could we not have some fun with this one? I think we should send Al Gore out there in a left-over Mercury capsule to have a first hand look before global panic REALLY sets in. I'm not trying to start a firestorm debate, just having a little fun. This article is a good example of how climate change on a planetary scale can occur without our influence, thanks for posting it. I'm sure it's only coincidence that it's happening now at the same time we're having our own "global climactic upheaval". I only hope that Washington isn't paying attention - I don't think I could handle a Jovian tax. Hopefully, Jupiter will give us a great show this year.

I think it proves our change, however much it is change and not just a variation from what we consider normal, is natural, and NOT caused by us. I agree wholeheartedly, send Al and those like him pushing this bunk right on out there to observe it, and leave them there.<br>Doug
