The Six Mak is Back at Orion...
One of our best writers takes the recently reissued Orion 150 Maksutov out for a shake down cruise in this week's review contest winner...

An excellent review, Larry. Thank you. As the owner of an Orion StarMax 127mm Mak, I can also attest to how superb the images of the moon and planets can be in this design. An extra inch of aperture, extra focal length and relative low cost is indeed tempting.
I recently purchased the new Mak and was very satisied with the optics and general performance. I returned the scope because I had a large focus shift. Orion immediately replaced the scope and the new one has a minimal shift. I enjoy using the scope and often as possible. Marsh B 8)
