One of the oldest star parties in Ohio. Takes place at Hidden Hollow Camp in Bellville Ohio which offers the darkest skies in Central Ohio. Public viewing through the 36 inch f/7 reflector at the Warren Rupp Observatory. We have speakers, door prizes and meals on site along with cabins with hot showers.
The Newark Museum's Dreyfuss Planetarium will begin is summer schedule on June 24, 2015. Through August 16 the planetarium will run programs at 1:30, 2:30 & 3:30 p.m. See the website for details & descriptions of shows. Admission $5 Adults, $3 kids.
The 2015 edition of the Cherry Springs Star Party or CSSP will be held at Cherry Springs State Park near Coudersport, PA on June 11-14. Cherry Springs State Park is well known for some of the darkest skies on the East coast. We hope you'll enjoy them with us! Delmarva Star Gazers will host the Seminar March 19 through March 22, 2015, at the Mallard Lodge, Smyrna, DE. The purpose of the Seminar is to introduce proven successful mirror making techniques and practices to those wishing to make their own mirrors. Special emphasis will be placed on successfully figuring the mirror. All mirror-making materials will be furnished and expert mirror makers will be available to guide each person�s activities. 8", 10" and 12" mirrors are curve generated and ready for 220 grit.
