Hello Herb-
I've been an Annual Astromart supporter for many years.
Just to let you know...I was scammed out of $1475 when I thought I was buying a Televue 102 refractor and accessories posted for sale in the attached ad from a "Jim Celestino" who has no ratings and joined Astromart only a week or so ago. The ad was #449601
He instructed me to send my Paypal payment to a Janie Cundiff. After not receiving the scope despite him repeatedly postponing shipping it due to various excuses he came up with over several days I filed a dispute with Paypal. Luckily, Paypal reimbursed me. The ad has been deleted from Astromart after having been marked "SOLD"
I noticed the next day after being reimbursed by Paypal that he posted another ad, #450084. This time it was for the sale of two like new Pentax XW eyepieces for $150 each, well below their actual value. This time he used a name Mr Cundiff, again from Syosset, NY.
This morning the same Mr Cundiff has posted an FSQ -106 with Tak finder for $2500, also well below actual value. Ad number is #450459. Again, he's shown as being from Syosset, NY.
I wanted to alert you to this because chances are very high that the recent eyepiece ad and now the FSQ ad are also scams.
