How do I report a rip-off?

Hi, this is my first post here...my apologies if this is in the wrong place or has been covered but I can't seem to find any reference if it has.

I recently completed a transaction with GCS Astronomical. He did not send what he said he would. He does not respond to email. He does not answer his phone, nor is there an opportunity to leave a message.

There is no rating available to me for this under my user account as with other transactions. Is that because he is a "Sponsor"?

I'm at a loss as to how to pursue this...any advice or suggestions would surely be appreciated.

Hi Chuck,

Sorry to hear about your problem. Sponsoring businesses can not rate or be rated. I just looked in the list of AM sponsoring vendors and do not even see GCS Astronomical there. If they are still a sponsoring vendor, I would contact Herb and see if there is anything he can do to intervene. If they are not, I would send a registered letter to the vendor outlining the problem and how you want it resolved.

Chuck, I'm sorry to hear about this problem...

I met John Biggs at this last WSP and we spent quite a bit of time chatting and talking about his business... he is a very nice guy and it seems that he really cares about his company. By being associated with APM, I'm sure that they are most likely out there in a Star Party, since they promote their business this way quite a bit...

Did he talk to you, and/or promised a delivery date/time for the item you purchased? did he have any sort of communication with you? When were you supposed to get this item? can you give a little more information about the transaction?

I surely hope this is just a miscommunication problem... he does not seem to be a person that would run a business this way...

Just wanted to close the loop on this...John is back, he proactively contacted me & has resolved the matter to my full satisfaction.
