I had 200+ 5 star ratings prior to the new system here on Astromart. I took a vacation from astronomy and came back and the system had changed and I could no longer log in. I paid the $15.00 membership fee but all my ratings disappeared. Anyway to get them back? Thanks!

Same thing happened to me! I lost all my positive ratings. To make matters worse, I had a lifetime membership prior to the new system and suddenly I now have to pay each year!

I cant speak to the disappeared ratings issue but there seems to be quite a lot of confusion regarding the $15 a year fee vs supporter contributions. I know this is an older topic but hopefully folks will see the response and gain a better understanding of how things work.

The $15 per year fee is a membership fee that EVERYONE regardless of their supporter status pays. If you dont pay the yearly $15 fee then your access is severely limited.

Supporter contributions on the other hand are entirely voluntary and do include certain perks that regular members dont get. In the case of "lifetime" supporters you retain those perks without ever having to pay anything other than the $15 member fee per year. The other support levels start at 30 days and go up to 1 year depending on which option you pick. They all, including the lifetime one offer the same perks like highlighted ads, access to instant email classified ad notifications along with varying numbers of free ads.

Bottom line is everyone pays the $15 per year regardless of their supporter status.
