System freezes after uploading pictures

I have twice tried to place an ad. After uploading pictures (they are each <500 kbs) the system freezes and won't let me continue.
Any helpful hints?

If an image gets too close to 500K it may not load. But your problem sounds different...

I've had the same problem for awhile. When I switch to Firefox the issue goes away. Originally I used Safari.
