Denk 2X worth the expense?

Hey guys,

It's been a while since I have posted, but I'm still out here. I got my new Denk II's in recently, and I have a question. Should I buy the 2X convertor, or is it a waste of money? It was listed in the "book" that came with the Denk's, but I don't want to waste the money unless it's worthwhile.

Also, I have the Pan 19's, and was wondering what you think would be the second set I should buy.

It all depends on what kind of observing you prefer. With the 2X and the StarSweeper, you have 9.5, 19, and 38 mm EPs. Maybe something about 24 (12/24/48)?

A lot depends on the FL of your scope as well.

Dave, have you compared planetary views with your Denk II to those of a Denk I? I, too, am wondering if the Denk II is worth the extra expense, but I get the impression from other posts and reviews that the improvement is not dramatic.
