Hello,

I got the WO and a focuser for my Orion XT8, but haven't been able to get them into focus down the block (daylight) about 100 yards.

What is the proper way to do it? It seems as if it needs a few more mm to go deeper for a focus.

Thanks for your help!

Dennis,

At the very least, you will need to use a Barlow to reach focus. You need to overcome the 4 inches of light path that the binoviewer adds.

The WO Binoviewer is advertised to come with:

"Barlow nosepiece (1.6x) for easier focusing with most telescopes!"

Even with this device you may need to add a 1 1/4" barrel in between the binoviewer and the nosepiece element to achieve focus. You might also be able to find a Barlow that you can replace the Barlow element with the WO element.

Siebert also makes an OCA for the WO binoviewer.
