144 tooth worm wheel

I need to find motors for a mount with 144 tooth gears. Can anybody tell me which mounts/motors use these? I would guess that's a pretty common configuration... RA would require 1/10 rpm... Is that standard for Polaris or Celestron or Meade or Orion motor kits??

I have asked Meade and Orion, but they can't or won't tell me the drive rpm or number of teeth for their motors or mounts.

Thanks.

My Vixen Super Polaris mount uses a 144 tooth gear. My old Meade DS-10 which later became the Starfinder also used a 144 tooth gear. I recently bought a motor kit for a CG-5 and modified the motor mount to use on my Super Polaris. This is the same as Orion’s #7832 but the Celestron version can be found slightly cheaper. The Celestron version is #93523. ATWB has it listed for $105.

You can also get a 1/10 rpm synchronous motor from Telescope Warehouse or Apogee, but these require AC and a drive corrector which are getting difficult to find.

You could also get a Meade Autostar Controller and motors and turn your drive into a goto. Do a Google search on “Super Polaris Autostar”.

You have several options.

Vixen Super Polaris, Great Polaris and Great Polaris DX mounts all have 144 tooth gears. So do the various CG-5 clones including the new Celestron ASC series GEMS. I'm a member of a Yahoo group that specializes in adapting various GOTO motor sets to other mounts. For the most part we use Meade DS and more recently LXD series motors on GP, CG5 mounts but can possibly help you to do the same with yours.
